Ever wanted to go back and tell yourself at 15, that it would save you $$$$ in the long run to JUST PUT ON SUNSCREEN! Forget the sunbathing , that is what airbrush tanning is for! :) Well, no matter your age you can start to prevent any FUTURE damage by listening to these 3 tips….
1. NO MATTER WHAT use a SPF 15 - 30 EVERYDAY! Even on rainy days and especially if you are going to be out in the sun. If you are going to be in the sun for more than a few hours directly, the SPF from your makeup of lotion will not cut it. You will need to re-apply the sunscreen while you are out. Most cosmetics lines make some great ones that you can lightly apply on top of makeup as a touch up.
2. Vitamins internally are just as important as externally! We go through all the “antioxidant” products topically but so few of us take them internally. If you want to have great vibrant skin, start from the inside out. What goes on externally is a symbol of what is going on internally. When my dad went through Chemotherapy, he lost all his hair. Why? He was putting toxins into his body to kill the cancer. When he started eating vegetables, taking vitamins and replenishing his body with good things he got his hair back! Why he was replacing the toxic with the replenishers. DO THE SAME! If you want fewer wrinkles, less acne, or brighter skin…refuel yourself with good nourishing things….yes it is that simple.
3. QUIT SMOKING!!!! Nothing ages the face more than continual cigarette smoke. FACT, smoking causes the increase in fine lines around the mouth. FACT, smoking causes fine lines around the eyes. FACT, what you are using creams to protect your face from; you are directly putting in your face everyday. I know it isn’t easy…..you can do it! I was a smoker once; I know how hard it is. You will be healthier in the long run and you may be able to save yourself from additional long term effects.
